His interest in Raumschach began with the theoretical poverty of the existing literature and the conviction that Ferdinand Maack’s invention deserved the same rigorous treatment accorded to flat chess. He corresponds under this nom de clavier and makes no claim to any particular geography, profession, or biography beyond what is expressed in the work itself.
